Cleanse Your Home Sage Sticks

Before lighting the sage, open a window or door to ensure smoke can easily exit your space.

Place the sage in your burning container and ignite it. Allow it to burn briefly, then gently blow on it to keep the smoke steady. If the flame extinguishes, relight the sage as needed.

For spiritual use, set your intention for the cleansing process. For instance, you might say, "May this cleansing bring positive changes."

Move through each room you wish to cleanse, allowing the smoke to fill the space. Be mindful not to let smoke accumulate excessively in any one area. Avoid direct inhalation of the smoke.

How to Use a Sage Stick:

Keep the Bundle Intact: Do not separate the leaves, as the sage stick is tightly bundled to burn evenly. Pulling leaves apart may cause it to break apart.

Ignite the Tip: Light one end of the sage stick using a match or lighter until it catches fire. Let it burn for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame, allowing it to smolder and produce smoke.

Use as Needed: Hold the smoking sage stick and waft the smoke around yourself, your space, or any object you wish to cleanse. You can use a feather, hand, or fan to spread the smoke.

Extinguishing the Stick: If you don’t want to use the entire bundle at once, gently press the burning tip into a fireproof dish, sand, or a heat-resistant surface to put it out. Do not use water, as this may make it difficult to relight.

Store Properly: Place the sage stick in a dry container or fireproof dish until you're ready to use it again.

You can use sage as often as needed based on your preferences and the energy of your space.
