Angelite is the soft blue variety of anhydrite, a calcium sulfate mineral that forms as compressed celestite hardens over millions of years. First identified in Peru in the late 1980s, it is also found in Mexico, Egypt, Germany and parts of Britain, in muted sky-blue tones often flecked with white. It is a relatively soft stone, with a Mohs hardness of around 3.5, and because it is water-soluble it should always be kept dry.

Recharge on a selenite plate at least once every 30 days.
Keep it away from water, and cleanse with sage smoke, sound or moonlight when it feels heavy.
