Red Coral (Moonga) Ring – Mangal Ratna for Courage & Energy

Red Coral (Moonga) is the Vedic gemstone of Mars (Mangal) and one of the nine Navaratna stones. Red Coral (Moonga) is an organic gemstone formed over time from the skeletons of marine coral, rather than a mineral crystal — which makes it one of the more unusual of the nine Navaratna gems. Its deep red to orange-red colour has been prized across Roman, Indian and Japanese cultures. In Vedic tradition it is the gemstone of Mars (Mangal). Keep it away from water and harsh chemicals.

Recharge on a selenite plate at least once every 30 days.
Keep it away from water, and cleanse with sage smoke, sound or moonlight when it feels heavy.

Red Coral is an organic gemstone and requires gentler care than mineral stones. Clean only with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, soaps, perfumes, harsh chemicals, and acids — these will damage the surface and dull the colour over time.

Do not soak in water or use ultrasonic cleaners. Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods, as it can fade the colour. Store in a soft pouch away from harder stones.

Energetic cleansing: Place on a selenite plate for 4–6 hours. Avoid moonlight cleansing or water cleansing for Moonga. Remove before bathing, swimming, or washing hands.
