Ruby (Manik) Ring – Surya Ratna for Confidence & Leadership

Ruby (Manik) is the Vedic gemstone of the Sun (Surya) and one of the nine Navaratna stones. It works by strengthening the Sun's influence in the chart — the foundation of confidence, authority and vitality — so that a weak or afflicted Sun is steadied. It is traditionally worn by those seeking recognition, leadership presence and the warmth to lead from within.

Ruby is the red variety of corundum (crystalline aluminium oxide), its colour drawn from traces of chromium — the same mineral family as sapphire. Among the hardest of all gems, it forms in metamorphic and igneous rock and is found in Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand and parts of Africa. In Vedic tradition it is Manik, the gemstone of the Sun (Surya) and one of the nine Navaratna stones.

Wear on your non-dominant hand (left for most) to keep its energy close through the day.

Recharge on a selenite plate at least once every 30 days.
Keep it away from water, and cleanse with sage smoke, sound or moonlight when it feels heavy.

Ruby is one of the hardest gemstones (Mohs 9) and is durable for everyday wear. Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive materials.

Energetic recharge: Place in direct morning sunlight for 20–30 minutes. Ruby draws its power from the Sun and recharges naturally under solar energy. Unlike most crystals, Ruby does not need moonlight — sun is its native element.

Store separately from softer stones to avoid scratching them with Ruby's hardness. The German silver band can be polished lightly with a dry silver cloth when needed.
